Kathleen O'Connor - Principal
As the majority owner of the Sage Group, Kathleen O'Connor manages the financial operations of the company. Working with outside accountants, Kathleen prepares annual financial statements, monitors and reviews all expenditures, helps develop financial policies and procedures and oversees all payroll functions. Kathleen is a graduate of Baylor College, is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is very active in CREW, the Commercial Real Estate Women’s network. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, Kathleen contributes valuable insight to the Sage Group organization. |

John Fisher, CCRA, LEED AP - Chief Operating Officer
John Fisher is a Texas State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with additional certification in four states. He has extensive appraisal experience in each major land use. He has appraised or reviewed real estate valued in excess of one half billion dollars during the course of his career. John has 20 years of real estate experience and has served as an expert witness in both federal and district court. John is a graduate of the University of Houston with a major in finance, is a General Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute, a Certified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser (CCRA) through the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). As a member of the department’s leadership team, John is an appraiser trainer, sponsoring and directing full-time licensed trainees, along with performing technical reviews for accuracy. Mike Miller, MAI - Managing Director
Mike Miller is an MAI-designated appraiser and Managing Director of Sage Appraisal Network, a network of national appraisers designed to service all commercial appraisal needs throughout the continental United States. Mr. Miller has been involved in the appraisal and consultation of real estate and going concerns for over 25 years. Previously he was a Senior Managing Director who started Grubb & Ellis Landauer Valuation Advisory Services appraisal platform; Senior Director, with Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona and Texas for 17 years and with CB Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc. W.F. “Buddy” Trotter, Jr., MAI - Senior Appraisal Reviewer
Buddy Trotter is a Texas State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with additional certifications in 6 states. He has extensive experience appraising properties in each major land use, including retail, office, industrial, and apartments. As a member of the department’s leadership team, Buddy is an appraiser trainer and educator at Sage Group. He also is the lead technical reviewer for appraisals of certified appraisers. He has 29 years real estate and appraisal experience and has been with Sage Group since its beginning. He is a graduate of Rice University, is a recipient of the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and has served as Secretary of the Houston Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and currently serves as the Vice-President of the Chapter. Kenneth E. Lehrer, Ph.D.
Dr. Kenneth E. Lehrer is a Texas State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and is recognized by the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers. He holds four degrees from New York University: B.S. (Finance), M.B.A. (Banking), M.A. (Economics) and a Doctorate in Urban Economics. He is experienced in many areas including Economics, Banking, Business (including operating and Economic and Financial Services consulting company), and Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Dr. Lehrer has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Houston, Graduate School of Business. |

The first 20 years of Mr. Preble’s career were devoted to initiating and managing a variety of development projects in San Antonio and Central Texas. Mr. Preble’s focus has been on building the premier real estate economics consulting firm in the region. Clients served are located across the United States, and have included Neumann Homes (Chicago, IL), John Laing Homes (West Coast –NAHB 2003 Builder of the Year) and Simonini Homes (North Carolina – NAHB 2005 Builder of the Year). Mr. Preble is an active public speaker, having been a featured speaker for a number of conferences, including three of the last five Land Development Breakthroughs conferences.
